Midnight Sun

Experience the magic of the sun shining at midnight!

You can experience the golden rays of the Midnight Sun in Senja from 22 May to 21 July. This light phenomenon only occurs north of the Arctic Circle during this two-month period. It’s light around the clock and the sun never drops below the horizon. In Senja, you can enjoy the Midnight Sun at sea level, out at sea or from a mountain peak. It’s hard to imagine anything more magical than standing on a mountain summit at midnight and watching the spectacular colours of the Midnight Sun on the horizon.
