There are several ways to reach Senja and Frovåg
Senja Fjordhotell and Frovåg Havfiske are situated in the village of Frovåghamn at the southern tip of the island of Senja, just 5 km from the settlement of Stonglandseidet.
There are several ways of getting to Senja Fjordhotell. We recommend our guests to have their own car, but we can assist with transportation if required.
Arriving by car via the E6 highway:
Turn off the E6 highway at Buktamoen → Continue on route 855 to Finnsnes → Drive across the bridge to the island of Senja → Follow the signs in the direction of Skrolsvik → After a further 45 minutes, you will see the sign Frovåghamn → Follow the sign and drive right down to the sea, approx. 300 m → Welcome!
By bus:
As the bus service varies depending on the different season, we recommend checking the current timetables on the website or app Troms Card travel planner →
Use Finnsnes kai (Lenvik) as the departure point and Frovåg (Tranøy) as the destination.
If you see that your journey does not correspond with the bus, please contact us and we will find another solution! 🙂
By Hurtigruten / express boat:
Hurtigruten → Finnsnes: continue from there by bus/car
Hurtigruten → Harstad: continue by express boat
Express boat from Harstad → Skrolsvik: continue from there by bus/car
By plane:
Fly → Bardufoss Airport: continue from there by bus/car
Fly → Tromso Airport: continue from there by bus/car
